AI offers enormous opportunities and at the same time carries high risks. The weißensee kunsthochschule berlin therefore cultivates a progressive, critically reflective approach to AI. We allow calculated risk-taking and use regulatory leeway to drive innovation, with the aim of enabling all university members to critically and practically use, investigate, and reflect on relevant AI applications. For example, the use of text and image-generating tools is already a reality in all areas of the university, provided that it does not violate copyright law or the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

Weißensee ChatAI
We recently added a feature to our Weißensee ChatAI that allows you to use large AI language models (LLMs) without sharing your personal data with any company. This chat interface lets you experiment with LLMs, translate texts, or correct them.
Note: Our ChatAI tool is still very experimental and may contain bugs. However, we are working on a more stable and permanent solution.
Accessing ChatAI:
You can access our ChatAI within the art college's Wi-Fi network (“see” Wi-Fi) via the following link: http://172.20.0.50:3000
Please note: Access from outside the university network is currently not possible.
