Select ‘Theory and History’ under subject area (Fachgebiet) and you will receive an overview of all courses.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

> In the 1st and 2nd semesters, 4 credits each must be earned in theory and history; you can choose freely from the course catalogue.

Exceptions are textile and material design and product design, where 6 CP must be earned in the compulsory elective area.

>Choose courses that take place on Monday or Tuesday! This is because the practical foundation courses take place from Wednesday to Friday.

>The block seminar ‘Critical Discourse’ is compulsory in the foundation course in almost all departments except Textile and Material Design and Product Design and is assessed with 2 CP! WiSe 24/25: https://kh-berlin.incom.org/workspace/3156

>Only students in Stage and Costume Design require 2 CP each in the 1st + 2nd semester in the compulsory elective and must also take the compulsory course:

‘Theory and History of Performing and Performing Arts I and II’ with 2 CP.
