With the new entry regulation, which has been in force since August 1, uniform regulations on registration, quarantine and testing/proof requirements have been established.

Proof of a negative COVID-19 test result, complete COVID-19 vaccination, or recovery from a COVID-19 infection is required upon entry into Germany - regardless of where from or by which means of transportation. A negative COVID-19 test result is always mandatory for a prior stay in a virus variant area.

In case of a previous stay in a high-risk or virus-variant area within 10 days prior to entry into Germany, registration at www.einreiseanmeldung.de is always required.

Also, in case of a previous stay in a high-risk area, a quarantine of 10 days must always be observed, which can be shortened under certain conditions. After a previous stay in a virus variant area, the quarantine is 14 days and cannot be shortened.
