Exemption is possible upon application if there is a reason for exemption (see information on the application form).
The application must be submitted to the Department of Student Affairs by 20 February 2026 but no later than 30 March 2026.
Students in special social situations or with a particularly low income can apply for a subsidy for the Deutschlandsemesterticket.
